The essentials of Christianity

A five-week course meeting on Wednesdays.

September 29, October 6, 13, 20, and 27th.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

If you are not a Christian but would like to explore Christianity, Essentials is for you. It is also for those who are Christians but would like to grow in faith and knowledge. If you would like to become a member of The Church of the Incarnation or enter more deeply into our community, attending Essentials is an important step.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE COURSE?

Each session includes dinner, teaching, and discussion. The course runs from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights, for 5 consecutive weeks. The church will also provide childcare.

WHAT IS THE CONTENT OF THE COURSE?

Each week covers a different topic about Christianity, including: gospel, worship, discipleship, community, and mission.

WHY DO WE OFFER ESSENTIALS?

The Church of the Incarnation strives for unity around a basic expression of "mere Christianity". So Essentials is designed to be useful for anyone who follows Jesus in any context. The course enables people with diverse experiences and expectations to more clearly understand the core beliefs and practices of Christian life together.

I CAN'T TAKE THE COURSE THIS TIME AROUND. WHEN WILL IT BE OFFERED AGAIN?

Essentials is offered three times a year: Fall, Winter, and late Spring or Summer.

WHAT ARE THE DATES?

Essentials is a five-week course.

Fall 2021 dates are Wednesdays: September 29, October 6, October 13, October 20, and October 27. All sessions are from 6:00 to 8:30pm and will meet at the Church of the Incarnation, 292 North Liberty Street.
