Children at Incarnation

Christians are formed in the community. We partner with families in four ways to raise children who give their love and loyalty to Jesus Christ.

  • Church - We strive to be a healthy church, where our children can know and be known by other Christians.
  • Worship - Our Sunday morning worship service is our most important children's ministry. By worshipping with us, our children are formed in the Christian faith.
  • Home - The rhythms of our worship service overflow into the home through helpful spiritual practices like following the Christian Calendar, having regular times of devotion, and participating in daily prayer
  • Programs - Below you can read about the programs we offer for children.

Summer 2021 programs for children

  • Nursery (infants – walkers)

Our nursery is located in the back hallway, beside the women's bathroom. Screened and trained volunteers (who will be masked) provide care for infants, so parents can remain in the worship service. Parents, please fill out the sign-in sheet before returning to the sanctuary. Infants should be picked up during the Passing of the Peace portion of the service, to join the congregation in the sanctuary for Eucharist.

  • Toddler (confident walkers – 4 year olds)

The toddler room is located in the back hallway, in the room at the end of the hallway (our former Godly Play classroom). Screened and trained volunteers (who will be masked) play with and care for children, so parents can remain in the worship service. Parents, please fill out the sign in sheet before returning to the sanctuary. Children should be picked up during the Passing of the Peace portion of the service, to join the congregation in the sanctuary for Eucharist.

Our programs for older children will resume on August 15th, 2021.

If you're interested in volunteering with our children's ministry, please email vicki@theincarnation.org. To prepare for the programs beginning in August, there will be a workshop in July and/or September for volunteers.
