Children at Incarnation

Christians are formed in the community. We partner with families in four ways to raise children who give their love and loyalty to Jesus Christ.

  • Church - We strive to be a healthy church, where our children can know and be known by other Christians.
  • Worship - Our Sunday morning worship service is our most important children's ministry. By worshipping with us, our children are formed in the Christian faith.
  • Home - The rhythms of our worship service overflow into the home through helpful spiritual practices like following the Christian Calendar, having regular times of devotion, and participating in daily prayer
  • Programs - Below you can read about the programs we offer for children.

spring 2022 programs for children

  • Nursery (infants – walkers)

Our nursery is located upstairs. At this time, our nursery is not staffed but is available for infants and their parents/caregivers.

  • Toddler (confident walkers – 2 year olds)

The toddler room is located upstairs, during both services. Screened and trained volunteers play with and care for children, so parents can remain in the worship service. Parents/caregivers, please fill out the sign-in sheet outside the room before returning to the sanctuary. Children should be picked up during The Peace portion of the service, to join the congregation in the sanctuary for Eucharist.

  • Preschoolers (age 3 by 9/30/21 5 or 6 years)

We welcome preschoolers to the Preschool Room, located upstairs, during both services. The door for this classroom closes 10 minutes after each service begins. Arrive a few minutes early to get settled in! Children will wait in the hallway with the Greeter, who will soon lead them into the room. Parents/guardians should pick their preschooler up during The Peace portion of the service, to join the congregation for Eucharist. Screen and trained volunteers teach this class.

  • Elementary Children (K 5th grade)

Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are dismissed prior to the sermon, during both services, to gather in the Elementary Room, located upstairs. Screened and trained teachers will bring children back downstairs to join their parents/guardians during The Peace portion of the service, to participate with the congregation in Eucharist.
