Arts Incarnate Gallery Opening
On the first Friday of the month, Arts Incarnate will host a new gallery opening on September 5 from 5-7pm featuring Jeremy Starn. He’ll be exhibiting a series of photos of telephone poles taken directly onto metal plates.
Jeremy Starn was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1991. He studied alternative photography at the Art Institute of Boston before working as a photojournalist around the world. As a visual artist, his painting, sculpture, and photography focus on anthropocentric interventions. He is currently an MFA candidate at James Madison University in Virginia. His work as been shown by the Smithsonian Museum in DC, New Britain Museum of American Art in Connecticut, Google Inc. in Cambridge, MA, and the Staunton Augusta Art Center in Virginia. His work speaks to the intimate human scale, which can seem inconsequential in time and space but awe-inspiring in its impact.
