The best way to get to know us is to join us for a worship service on Sunday. Feel free to stick around after the service to enjoy freshly roasted coffee and bagels from Mr. J's. We would also love for you to visit one of our small groups that meet during the week in homes throughout the city.
Exploring Our DNA through Incarnation Essentials
The Essentials Course is for anyone who wants to explore Christianity and learn more about our common faith, our common life and its governing principles, our responsibilities to one another, and our responsibilities to the world. In addition, we discuss the core theological convictions and membership expectations of our church family. This course is ideal if you’re new, or if you wish to learn more about our beliefs and practices. It’s also part of the process of becoming a member of the Church of the Incarnation. Generally, we offer Essentials in the summer, in the fall, and in the late winter. It lasts 5 weeks, meeting every week at the same time on the same evening of the week at our pastor's house from 6 p.m.–8:30 p.m. Dinner and childcare are provided. (The children and childcare worker join us for the meal, but they move to a different part of the house (or outside, weather permitting) during the study.) The course is composed of 5 sessions:
- Gospel: The World We All Want
- Worship: Heavenly Participation
- Discipleship: Becoming Truly Human and Truly Yourself
- Community: Life Together
- Mission: Churches for the Good of the City
To attend, email Mike Medley to sign up when the class is announced.
